Reguengo Grande (obi 10L)

Planalto das Cezaredas

Friday 22/05 10:00

The walk begins in Reguengo Grande next to the Junta de Freguesia where there is a café and parking. During the first half of the walk we will follow well maintained trails through scenic forests of pine and eucalyptus trees. On our way we will include a short detour and visit the charming Jardim da Celeste. As we approach Moledo the landscape shifts into a more agricultural and livestock farmland. There the trails will have some small inclines and are not so well maintained any more, so bring your poles if you are used to them and we could potentially come across some muddy spots. Please be reminded that for safety reasons dogs must be kept on a non-extendable short leash at all times. You are personally responsible for your animal.

Óbidos fountains walk

Wednesday 18/02 10:00

On this route we will walk through the village of A-dos-Negros located on a ridge in the eastern part of Óbidos and we will come across some of the numerous fountains, wells and ancient wash-houses of the region. We will get some nice views especially facing Gracieira and to the northwest towards the water reservoir of the Arnóia River and the Atlantic on the horizon. The route starts towards the Church of Santa Maria Madalena and its beautiful surroundings. It continues on sandy tracks and quiet streets flanked by orchards, vegetable gardens and groves. The houses in the village center have some unusual features… The route will then lead us downhill to the reservoir and through a small forest back to the village. Please note that we’ll be most of the walk in or very close to a village and therefore your dog has to stay on a short non extendable leash at all times.
