Vermelha is a village of about 1200 inhabitants located east of Bombarral. There is a regional bakery which has an outlet in the village center and you can also buy wine at the local adega. The circular walk of ca. 7,5 km will lead us through vineyards, orchards and forests with many lovely views of the countryside. We will walk mostly on rural tracks which sometimes could be uneven, therefore you may need your walking sticks. There is a short, but quite easy ascend when leaving the village, then the trail will be flat before a slight incline up to the main road and another slightly steeper ascend when walking back into the village. Please be reminded that for safety reasons dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times.

On the Cesaredes we will find many dry stone walls resulting from the clearing of land for agriculture. From several points we will have nice views of the landscape and the valley of Óbidos. Please be reminded that for safety reasons dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times.
