On this route we will walk through the village of A-dos-Negros located on a ridge in the eastern part of Óbidos and we will come across some of the numerous fountains, wells and ancient wash-houses of the region. We will get some nice views especially facing Gracieira and to the northwest towards the water reservoir of the Arnóia River and the Atlantic on the horizon. The route starts towards the Church of Santa Maria Madalena and its beautiful surroundings. It continues on sandy tracks and quiet streets flanked by orchards, vegetable gardens and groves. The houses in the village center have some unusual features… The route will then lead us downhill to the reservoir and through a small forest back to the village. Please note that we’ll be most of the walk in or very close to a village and therefore your dog has to stay on a short non extendable leash at all times. You are personally responsible for its behavior and liable in case of an accident.
The walk is about 5,5 km and is expected to take about 2 hours

Please note that the flag on the map is not the start point. Do not follow your GPS and take the narrow streets through A-Dos-Negros, but stay on Estr. Principal and then make a sharp left turn directly into Estr. dos Moinhos.
The weather forecast through 13/2/2026 is for severe weather so we have canceled our walks until at least 14/2/2026. Watch this page and our Facebook group for updates The circular 5,9 km walk starts in Bombarral close to the local Continente. The walk takes us through a landscape of vineyards and orchards. At about half-way we will see the village of Sanguinal and from there head back to our starting point. The walk does not have any major difficulty, but after rain we could see some muddy spots. Please be reminded that for safety reasons dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times. You are personally responsible for your animal.
The walk will start in Bôlhos next to the Church. Bôlhos is a village located near Serra del Rei on the north-western edge of the plateau das Cesaredas. The path will take us mainly through forest areas on tracks built for the construction of windmills. The walk distance is about 11 km and is quite easy, but after the rain there could be some muddy spots. Please be reminded that for safety reasons dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times. You are personally responsible for your animal.
The walk will start in Reguengo Grande next to the Junta de Freguesia. The path will take us through the narrow streets of RG to the other end of the village. Then we will have a flat section through forests, vineyards and orchards before going down a narrow path back to the river Galvão. We will then go to the Parque de Merendas of Pó, climb a steep hill (or take the stairs) and visit the Jardim da Celeste before heading towards Reguengo Grande. We can then decide to head down to the Vale Cornaga to see the waterfall and the irrigation canals and walk back up to our starting point or take a little longer route through the village of Cesaredas. Please be reminded that for safety reasons dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times. You are personally responsible for your animal.
The circular 7,5 km walk starts at the Junta de Freguesia of Olho Marinho. The walk takes us uphill through the historic center of the village towards the Planalto das Cesaredes. On the Cesaredes we will find many dry stone walls resulting from the clearing of land for agriculture. From several points we will have nice views of the landscape and the valley of Óbidos. The uphill path towards the plateau is mostly on rural tracks, but not very steep. However, the downhill path is narrow and quite steep in some places, so don’t forget to bring your poles if you are used to walking with them. Please be reminded that for safety reasons dogs must be kept on a short leash at all times. You are personally responsible for your animal.
The walk is about 7,5 km and is expected to take about 2,5 hours

Covão dos Musaranhos to Poça do Vau
On this route we start at the car park of the restaurant O Covão dos Musaranhos. We will mainly be walking on forest and rural tracks which lead to the village of Vau and then along the swampy area of the Poça do Vau. We will then for a while follow the PR5 that starts in Vau before returning to the lagoon. This is a fairly easy walk, but we recommend poles for those who are not comfortable walking on gravel and sand. The elevation graph shows some peaks which do not exist on the terrain. For safety reasons dogs must be kept on a short leash. You are personally responsible for your dog.
