SHORT WALKS

Weekly Short walks in the Silver Coast region

Web page in construction

Walk location:  The coast at Serra de Pescaria

Originator:  John

The Walk:  The first part of the walk is through high, open countryside along the cliff top – the cliff slopes fairly gently to the sea. There will be fine views along the coast and inland – visibility permitting.
We then descend to Praia do Salgado along a fishermen’s footpath – the descent is steep in places with a lateral slope to the path and loose stones.
From Salgado we have a long ascent back to the top of the cliff. Anyone who doesn’t want to complete this last part can stroll down to the beach and wait for a lift – about a 20 minute wait.
Good walking shoes and poles are recommended.

Timing:  The walk is about 6km and is expected to take about 2 hrs.
