Walk location: A walk at Alvados which is in the hills to the west of Porto do Mós – the northern Gateway to the Serra dos Candeeiros.
Originator: No. 8, “PR5 – Castelejo” in the book “Guia Percursos Pedestres” in the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros.
The Walk: The walk is level for the first kilometer and then there is a steep climb rising by a height of 250 metres. After that there is a long undulating stretch with fine views, followed by a steep descent back to the valley. Finally there will be some quiet road walking at Alvados. This is marked walk
Timing: The walk is abut 12 km and is expected to take about 4+ hrs
