Long walk south of Óbidos – (obi16L) – 09:30 start

This is a moderate hike south of Óbidos

The walk begins by hugging the northern castle wall. Take a moment to listen to all the birds as we descend to the railroad tracks (no pedestrian crossing – cross at your own risk !) and fertile farmland. Here we join the Capela de Santo André and Antão trails: a long flatland that turns to forests , vineyards and orchards before ascending to the chapel ruins. The last push is back up to the castle where you’ve earned your lunch at your favourite Óbidos café.
