Walk location: A short, linear, walk (2 hrs) from the cliff top at Casal Mota to the beach at Praia do Salgado.
The Walk: This is a linear walk; there is one long descent to São Gião followed by a fairly level sandy track and a short steep climb with a descent to Salgado Beach. The track is very sandy and may have some puddles if wet. So wear good shoes and bring poles if you use them.
Timing: The walk is about 6km and is expected to take about 2 hrs.
Car Meeting Point: Meet at 10:15 am at Praia do Salgado beach car park where we will leave some cars and drive to the walk start point.

Coffee Stop: There is the opportunity for a coffee stop at the end of the walk in Serra Pescaria or Salgado.

Head for Famalicão, on the main road between São Martinho do Porto and Nazaré. In the centre of Famalicão, turn west / uphill towards the sea, signposted to Serra da Pescaria and Praia de Salgado. Once at the top of the ridge, go straight across the cross roads and follow the road down to the beach.
Alternatively, from São Martinho do Porto, head up the road past the market on your left, 2nd turn right after the market, signposted towards Serra dos Mangues. Follow the road for about 7km until you reach the cross roads at Serra da Pescaria. Turn left and follow the road down to the beach.
