The Walk: This is a circular, woodland walk to Boa Vista. The first part is flat with some gentle hill climbing on the second half. Underfoot the ground is sometimes firm and other times loose sand and puddles. There is some walking on quiet roads.
Timing: The walk is about 9.5 km and is expected to take about 2.5 hrs.
Car Meeting Point: Church car park in Serra do Bouro at 09:30 am. For directions see the Notes below.

Notes: Directions to meeting point:
From Caldas da Rainha take the fast road to Foz do Arelho (through the industrial estate). At the rocky roundabout turn right, signposted Serra d Bouro. You pass a quarry entrance on your left and about 1km further on you come to a cross roads. Go straight across – sign posted São Martinho do Porto, Igreja & Cemitério – and after 200 metres turn into a parking area on the left just before the church. There is a bandstand in the parking area. This is the meeting point.
From São Martinho do Porto go to Salir do Porto and leave the main road by turning left after the roundabout to go through Casais do Salir. You descend into the valley and drive through woodland. As you exit the woodland you will see a church on your right. Turn right into a parking area just after the church. There is a bandstand in the parking area. This is the meeting point. If you come to a cross roads turn round.
