Walk location: In the Serra do Candeeiros, on the eastern side of Benedita and the IC2.

The walk: It is classified as of medium difficulty, but I would call it quite tough as it involves two ascents and descents, one of 250 metres to the ridge where the wind turbines are placed, a descent to Chãos, and then a similar climb of 150 metres on the return journey. Most of the walk is along rough paths and earthen tracks, but there is some quiet road walking at the beginning and end. We pass some caves on the walk.
I recommend poles and good shoes.
We start the walk in the village of Casal Guerra.
Timing: The walk is about 10 km and is expected to take about 3 hrs, plus extra for a coffee stop.
Car Meeting Point: The car meeting point is in Casal Guerra on the Rua Principal de Cabecinha at 09:30 am.
Note that this road cannot be accessed directly from the IC2, it crosses the IC2 via a bridge, but there are exits from the IC2 to the north and south of the bridge which lead onto the road to the meeting point.
