Casais do Salir & Bouro Side (spo12S)

Walk location:  The pine and eucalyptus woods between Casais do Salir and Bouro

The Walk:  This is a circular, woodland walk from Casais do Salir towards Bouro. There is one steep climb and some gentle inclines; underfoot the ground is sometimes firm and other times loose sand. There will be the occasional puddle, but no mud. There are two short stretches of quiet road walking.

Timing:  The walk is 6 km and is expected to take about 1.75 hrs.



Car Meeting Point: The parking space opposite the Nascer do Sol Restaurante near Salir do Porto at 10:15 am. For directions see the Notes below.

Coffee Stop:  There are no coffee stops on the walk.

Notes: The Nascer do Sol is 50 metres from the Salir do Porto railway station on the road connecting Salir do Porto with Chão da Parada.

From Tornada take the N8 direction Alfeizerão and turn left direction Chão da Parada after 0.5 kms. Drive straight through Chão da Parada followed by woodland and you will see the restaurant on the left hand side just before the level crossing (about 5 kms). You can park on the right hand side.

From São Martinho do Porto turn left at the roundabout in Salir do Porto. You will cross the level crossing after 200 metres and the restaurant is 50 m further on the right hand side. You can park on the left hand side.
