Walk around Barrio & Vale da Pereira

A road walk around the village of Bárrio in Alcobaça

We start from the parking behind the Junta de Freguesia de Barrio ( see signboard on main road P Parking). The walk follows mainly smaller country side asphalt roads around the Barrio and Vale da Perreira village. They are quite with none or almost no traffic. Less then 2 km is in the woods, with good forest paths with some exception. The obstacles are feasible.
The distance is between 5 and 6 Km (depending on the weather conditions).

Important: Because we walk on roads and pass by houses, dogs should always kept on a short leash during the whole walk. Walkers should also respect traffic rules, which means walking on site of the road, opposite of the drivers direction. High-viz clothing recommended.

We come together at the larger car park behind the Junta de Freguesia building where sign boards (P) show the direction.

Timing

The walk is about 5-6 km and is expected to take about 1,5 hours
